Our Approach
At Neecheewam, we meet children and youth where they are, without judgment. Our Two-Eyed Seeing approach brings together Indigenous knowledge, teachings, and relational care with Western practices and supports. This helps us provide holistic, healing-centered care that honours each young person’s unique story, strengths, and needs.
Mission
Is to provide healing lodges where the seven teachings (love, respect, courage, humility, wisdom, honesty and truth) are the path to wholeness.
Vision
The strength of our community is restored through the wellbeing of our children.
What Guides Us
Our work is guided by relationships, cultural identity, and a belief that healing happens when youth feel safe, valued, and accepted. We strive to meet each young person where they are and support their growth in a way that honours their strengths, voice, and journey.
Who We Serve
Neecheewam supports children and youth with diverse needs, including those who may be at risk of sexual exploitation, affected by trauma, involved in the justice system, impacted by gang involvement, or experiencing instability in care and community connections.
