Neecheewam's Programs

 Neecheewam has seven lodges:

Eagle Warriors (Mikisii Ogitchitag):

Eagle Warriors is a four-bed residential home for Indigenous male-identifying youth ages 12–17. The program is designed for youth with limited involvement in the justice system who need added structure, support, and guidance in a safe and supportive environment.

Referrals are made through the Manitoba Provincial Placement Desk (PPD).

White Butterfly (Wabshke Memengwa):

White Butterfly is a four-bed home for female-identifying youth of all Nations, ages 12–17. The home offers long-term placement and programming in a supportive environment for youth who require additional structure, supervision, and guidance.

Referrals are made through the Manitoba Provincial Placement Desk (PPD).

Little Butterfly (Memengwaans):

Little Butterfly is a three-bed home for female-identifying youth of all Nations, ages 12–17. The home offers long-term placement and programming in a supportive environment for youth with a high need for additional structure, supervision, and care.

Referrals are made through the Manitoba Provincial Placement Desk (PPD). 

Blue Turtle (Ozhaawashk Mishiikenh):

Blue Turtle is a three-bed home for female-identifying youth of all Nations, ages 12–17. The home offers long-term placement and programming in a supportive environment for youth with a high need for additional structure, supervision, and care.

Referrals are made through the Manitoba Provincial Placement Desk (PPD). 

Golden Eagle (Zawe Ginew):

Golden Eagle is an eight-bed emergency placement resource that has been providing shelter care since November 2007. The program was created in response to the provincial government’s Changes for Children Initiative, with the goal of offering a safer and more supportive alternative to hotel placements for children and youth in the child welfare system.

Referrals are made through the Manitoba Provincial Placement Desk (PPD).

Eagle Embracing You (Ata Chiminis Mikisiw):

Eagle Embracing You (EEY) is a four-bed healing lodge for female-identifying youth ages 12–17 who may be experiencing a range of complex challenges, including mental health concerns, life-threatening addictions, complex trauma, and other significant barriers.

Strong Hearted Buffalo Women (Zongi’de Mushkodebizhike Ikweg):

The Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) is a secure, short-term, four-bed crisis intervention program for female-identifying youth of all Nations, ages 12–17. The program works in partnership with the Mobile Crisis Team and StreetReach to provide a safe and supportive space for youth who have been identified as being at high risk of  exploitation.
